Kept it together

We kept it together last week and all in all everything worked out great! The only one crying was me! Little man went in and came out of the operating room smiling!
To keep my hands busy I dug a blanket out of the pile of unfinished business, knitted the last centimeters and crocheted an edge in red.
And because autumn is coming in pretty fast I also have sewn a blanket with some Ikea fabric and some batting.

Sunday morning

I visited Utrecht last week for work-related-stuff & couldn't resist Starbucks.

This morning after coffee & yesterdays' newspaper I shaved my youngest sons' head. And to be honest I am pretty emotional right now. I never wanted this blog to be too personal but helas!
My youngest son was born at home & shortly after his birth it became clear that there was a part of skin on his head missing. This missing part became scartissue, this scartissue has a very big chance of turning into a cancerous form. Coming wednesday the doctors will cut it away & sew the hairy parts back together. It's actually a small procedure but my motherheart is pretty scared & emotional knowing that a small part off my little one wil be gone. The part that was never there in the first place will be really gone...

It has a butterflyshape.

I will take a blogbreak for the coming week to take care of my little one(s).

Making progress

The sweater is taking shape!


And this is a glimpse of projects waiting for my attention.


In this basket:
3 blankets (1 crocheting, 2 sewing)
1 pair of socks
1 baby sweater (knitted, just need to add some biais)
1 embroidery project

If only the day had more hours & I had some more energy.
Luckily my sleeping problems all will be cured next thursday when our new mattress will be delivered, yay!

So much fun

His actual birthday was celebrated in France and so we had a lot of people coming over scattered over one month after we returned!
Today was the closing finale, a party with his friends from school!
